Nuestra Hermosa Historia

Our Beautiful Story

How we met

19.03.2020

Ours is a “Covid Love”. We started chatting at the beginning of the pandemic, after a dear friend of ours introduced us. We were both living in different countries, he, a Spaniard in Germany, and I, a Colombian in Italy...After a few weeks, we started talking every day and became close friends without even having met in person. After a year and a half of knowing each other virtually, we finally met in person in Milan, taking advantage of the fact that Miguel had never been to Italy (obviously, the real reason is that Miguel wanted to meet me in person). And it was there that Miguel made it his goal to “win my heart”.

Relationship

09.12.2022

After a series of intricate plans to win Lauren over, which finally worked (he who perseveres will succeed), we became sweethearts! They say it's not at all easy to have a long-distance relationship, but we really believe that having started our friendship long distance gave us the tools to continue our courtship this way, facetiming each other, watching movies and organizing trips together, and visiting each other whenever we had the chance. Or friendship and love growing little by little with each passing day.

The Proposal

17.04.2024

The proposal was a stunt worthy of a G5 meeting, bringing together the brightest minds from Europe and Latin America and with top-notch intercontinental planning. Together with the help of Lauren's family, I planned in detail how I would propose to her in Cartagena, a historic city we love. And so, in front of her family and the Atlantic Ocean that links our countries, I asked Lauren to be my wife and…she said yes!

Wedding Celebration

11.10.2025

Our wedding day is approaching, and we would love to celebrate it alongside the people we love the most. For us, being able to celebrate our love is a dream come true! And that's why we want to have a big party where we can all have fun, have a good time, eat delicious food and dance all night long. We want this day to be unforgettable!

Preguntas Frecuentes

Frequently Asked Questions

Here you will find the answers to the most frequently asked questions. If you have any further enquiries, you can contact us directly via WhatsApp.

What’s the dress code?

We would like the dress code to be formal/elegant. Men must wear a suit (shirt, jacket, tie) and women must wear a long dress. White, beige or similar shades are to be avoided, as well as, olive green and mint green.

How do I get to the wedding venue if I don’t have a car?

No worries! On the wedding day, people who do not have a form of transport will be provided with a bus service. The buses will pick you up at a meeting point near the church and take you to the wedding venue. They will also bring you back to a central point in the city following a timetable that we will share with you later.

What about the presents?

First of all, we would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your love and company on this beautiful day. This will undoubtedly be our greatest gift, and we are sure we will have a great time!

Instead of physical presents, we prefer a financial contribution to help us build our future together. On that day we will have a special corner where you can place your envelope. For convenience, you may also send your gift via bank transfer. You will find the account number in the last message we sent you on WhatsApp. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Where can I park if I’m bringing my own car?

- Church: Parking near the church can be difficult. You can park on the street but much of the area requires parking meters. An alternative is to park in the underground parking lot on Calle Salitre (address here ) which is a 4-minute walk from the church.

- Reception: The venue has a designated area where you can park your car.
